1. Accuracy and No Warranty
EDU Mileage+ produces trip records, GPS routes, mileage calculations, and reimbursement reports on a best-effort basis using your device’s location services, motion sensors, and geofencing. While we make every reasonable effort to deliver accurate results, accuracy is not guaranteed. Trips may be missed, mileage may be over- or under-reported, and sync events may be delayed by factors outside our control, including iOS background execution policies, GPS signal availability, and network conditions.
You are solely responsible for reviewing the records produced by the App before submitting them to any employer, tax authority, or other party. The App is intended to assist with recordkeeping, not to replace your own judgment about what is accurate or complete.
The App is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Reimbursement disputes between you and your employer are solely between you and your employer. We are not a party to any reimbursement decision and do not guarantee any specific reimbursement outcome.
2. Tax Information Disclaimer
The IRS Annual Report feature in EDU Mileage+ produces a summary of your trip records intended for informational purposes only. It is not tax advice and is not a substitute for professional tax preparation.
You should consult a qualified tax professional regarding the deductibility of unreimbursed business expenses, the applicable mileage rates for your situation, and proper reporting on your tax return. Tax treatment of mileage varies by jurisdiction, employment status, and personal circumstances.
The mileage rates displayed in the App reflect IRS standard mileage rates published at the time each trip was recorded. You are responsible for confirming the correct rate for your specific situation, including any mid-year rate changes that may have been issued after a trip was logged.
Under IRS regulations, taxpayers are generally required to retain supporting documentation for business expense deductions for at least three years after the return is filed. The records produced by the App do not relieve you of any retention obligations imposed by tax law.
3. Recordkeeping Responsibility
EDU Mileage+ is a productivity tool. It is not a system of record for your employer’s reimbursement program, nor is it a substitute for any recordkeeping requirements imposed by your employer’s policies, district regulations, or applicable law.
Many districts require additional documentation beyond what the App captures — for example, approved travel authorization forms, signed receipts, specific reporting templates, or supervisor approvals. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the recordkeeping requirements of your employer.
If your employer requires specific information not captured by the App, you should maintain that information separately. The records produced by the App are intended to supplement your own recordkeeping practices, not replace them.

Apple, the Apple logo, iPhone, iPad, App Store, iCloud, and CloudKit are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. EDU Mileage+ is an independent product not affiliated with Apple Inc.
EDU Plus Apps and EDU Mileage+ are trademarks of the developer. Other product and company names mentioned within the App or on this site may be trademarks of their respective owners.
